Los Angeles City Firefighters Association (LAFFA) had been the local representative to the California State Firefighters Association (CSFA) for over 98 years. Participation included attending the annual conference, and having members on the CSFA Board to provide input into the needs of our membership and shape the California fire service.

Additionally, LAFFA has honored our own firefighters for over 50 years by hosting the “Annual Firefighter of The Year” luncheon that recogonizes members that have gone above and beyond the call of duty for our members.

Lastly, LAFD rank and LAFFA continues to focus on the safety, training and education and other needs of our members.

Monthly membership meetings are held on the first payday of each month via Zoom meetings (Covid-19 social distancing) or at the Los Angeles Police Academy Cafe when in-person meetings resume. Breakfast is provided for those who attend in person.

Please call 1(833)522-3321 for further information on the association.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy July 4th! Celebrate safely! 🇺🇸Happy 250th Birthday, America!

Today is all about celebrating our nation's historic Semiquincentennial with family, freedom, and tons of fun. The proud men and women of your Los Angeles Fire Department want you to have an unforgettable Fourth of July, but we need your help to keep our neighborhoods safe!

Please remember: ALL fireworks are illegal in the City of Los Angeles. Even the ones labeled "safe and sane" can cause devastating fires and severe injuries in a split second. A single spark is not worth risking your family’s safety or your home. Let the pros handle the magic this year! Instead of backyard fireworks, take the family out to one of the many spectacular professional fireworks displays or jaw-dropping drone light shows happening across LA.

Have fun, stay safe, and let's protect the city we love. Happy Independence Day, Los Angeles! 🎉

Our thoughts go out to all those involved with this heartbreaking tragedy, including the family and loved ones of the firefighters lost. Our hearts are with the brave firefighters and their families following the tragic loss of life while battling the Snyder-Mesa Fire along the Colorado–Utah border. These dedicated individuals made the ultimate sacrifice protecting their communities in the face of dangerous and fast-moving wildfires.

At California Casualty, we stand with the entire first responder community during this difficult time. We’re deeply grateful for the courage and commitment of those who risk everything to keep others safe, and we continue to keep the firefighters still on the front lines in our thoughts as they work tirelessly to contain the ongoing fires.
