Los Angeles City Firefighters Association (LAFFA) had been the local representative to the California State Firefighters Association (CSFA) for over 98 years. Participation included attending the annual conference, and having members on the CSFA Board to provide input into the needs of our membership and shape the California fire service.
Additionally, LAFFA has honored our own firefighters for over 50 years by hosting the “Annual Firefighter of The Year” luncheon that recogonizes members that have gone above and beyond the call of duty for our members.
Lastly, LAFD rank and LAFFA continues to focus on the safety, training and education and other needs of our members.
Monthly membership meetings are held on the first payday of each month via Zoom meetings (Covid-19 social distancing) or at the Los Angeles Police Academy Cafe when in-person meetings resume. Breakfast is provided for those who attend in person.
Please call 1(833)522-3321 for further information on the association.

A great days for our communities tomorrow! Hope to see everyone out there! The men and women of your Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcome you to visit an LAFD Fire Station on Saturday, May 10, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
The second Saturday of each May is designated as “Fire Service Day” in the City of Los Angeles - a citywide open firehouse celebration, when we plan and prepare for your visit to a Neighborhood Fire Station.
This year, our theme is "Stronger Together: A Tribute to Unity", underscoring our collective strength and highlighting our community's remarkable resilience through collaboration.
We're excited to have you visit on Saturday, May 10, to meet your #LAFD team firsthand, and see the tools and training you have helped provide.
More importantly, we're eager to understand your concerns regarding life safety and emergency response - and help you establish a personal plan for disaster preparedness.
